A trip to the spa should be a relaxing, blissful experience, but if it's your first visit, it can be slightly nerve-wracking not knowing what to expect. The following are some tips on spa protocol before, during and after you are being pampered and act as a manual to make the most out of your first spa-going encounter.

 

 

Showing up on time

If you're running late, the spa often can't push your appointment back more than 10 minutes. Need an incentive to arrive on time? Pure Revie offers soothing music, refreshments, and the peaceful sound of flowing water from our water feature to help transition you from "go mode".  If you are behind in your time, please call or text to let your esthetician know you are still on your way, although your treatment may be shortened to ensure your relaxation does not slip into the next client's treatment. 

 

Mind your manners

Your cell phone is asked to be turned off--and kept off--while in the spa; turning it to silent mode or vibrating mode is acceptable. Should you need to make a call while waiting for your appointment please step out of the room.  

The waiting area is also considered a relaxation area, many clients who frequent Pure Revive have busy work schedules and this is their only moment in their hectic day to relax. We ask that conversation is kept in a low voice to help keep the tranquility of the spa.

 

Nudity at the spa

One of the biggest fears for spa-goers is the issue of nudity. This isn't just a source of anxiety for those hitting a spa for the first time- it can be an issue for even the most seasoned spa enthusiast who is either trying a new service or having the same one done. 

Those who are confused and anxious about nudity issues are generally not likely to want to even discuss them with a stranger but our Estheticians are professionally trained, discreet, and confidential.  Brazilian waxes are the most common treatments in which a female or male can feel anxious about exposing themselves. We do our very best to make you feel comfortable every time you come; please know if there is something that can help ease your anxiety to let our esthetician know.

 

Speak up

All aspects of a treatment can be modified to your taste: the amount of light, music selection, volume, room temperature, and talking or no talking. If you would like the pressure of your massage to be adjusted, let your Esthetician know. Also, feel free to ask questions. If any part of your experience is unsatisfactory please tell the esthetician so that we may make fix the issue. The more knowledge and feedback you give us the better we can serve your specific needs.  

 

Book ahead

Your best way to ensure you receive the treatments you want is to advanced book - by person, phone, text or online booking. After every appointment, you will always have an opportunity to pre-book your next appointment.

 

What to do after the Treatment

You don't have to jump up instantly, but your esthetician may likely have another client after you so don't linger too long. Most therapist now say "I'll wait outside the door," so you are aware or they will instruct you on what to do.  Please know that the relaxation waiting area is always available if you wish to let your toes dry a bit longer or simply wish to take in a bit more of the surrounding tranquility.

 

Cancellation policies

Life is busy, sometimes we simply forget our appointments or something has come up.  Unfortunately, when you decide last minute not to attend your appointment or to "no show" we are unable to offer it to another who needed some relaxation time.  We require 24hrs notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you are unable to do so, you will be charged a 20% fee for all services you booked that day.  If you fail to show for your appointment without any notice you will be charged 50% of all services you booked that day.

 

Children and the spa

Here at Pure Revive, we don't over book our clients.  Whether your child is a newborn or in school, you may bring them with you.  All we ask is that you clean up behind your child, especially if they have been eating snacks.  Parents take full responsibility for any products opened or property that is destroyed; this is a courtesy we extend to all our clients.

On average, Most parents will bring movies via Ipad, books or small toys without sound.  For smaller ones, blankets, baby toys, or anything you know will help baby relax during treatment.  If you are receiving a treatment that is long in duration like body treatments, massage, and even facials we do highly recommend you find alternative care; this way you can fully relax without the worry of a little one disturbing you. Breastfeeding your baby is absolutely acceptable; we do ask while you sit in the waiting area to kindly cover yourself to eliminate any discomfort another male or female client may feel.
